Boston Children's Hospital is seeking dedicated Pharmacy Technicians across multiple levels to support our Pharmacy Team in delivering safe, accurate, and timely patient care. In this role, you will assist in stocking, filling, and distributing patient medication orders under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, while adhering to established policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.

A $5000 sign on bonus is offered for this full time 40 hour a week position

Pharmacy Technician level I
Experience: none required
Salary Range: $21.47-$33.55
Typical Responsibilities:

  • Medication preparation & delivery
  • Enteral cart fill
  • Automated dispensing cabinet stocking, delivery, and maintenance
  • Inventory control
  • Code tray production
  • Training to other Pharmacy Technicians

Pharmacy Technician level II
Experience: Minimum one year of hospital experience
Salary Range: $22.35-$35.76
Typical Responsibilities:

  • Repackaging/ Automation
  • Medication preparation and delivery
  • Code Tray Production
  • OR Medication Prep and Delivery
  • Simple nonsterile compounding
  • Sterile IV Compounding
  • Training to other Pharmacy Technicians

Minimum Requirements for Pharmacy Technician I & II
Education, License and Certifications

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Current registration as a pharmacy technician by the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy
  • Current national certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)

Experience:

  • Basic pharmaceutical calculations
  • Basic knowledge of medical & pharmaceutical terminology
  • Drug Classification
  • FDA/Legal Compliance
  • Quality control
