Department: IS Optime/Radiant

Shift:  Day

Working Hours:  M-F, 8AM-5PM

Summary:

This position is for someone with perioperative clinical experience that will be working with our Epic OpTime & Anesthesia system applications. Works with the Baptist Health User community in the evaluation, selection, design/tailoring, testing and implementation of clinical information systems. Provides ongoing support for problem resolution and application modifications including new releases. Works on less complex clinical systems projects and under general supervision on elements of moderate to complex clinical systems project. Must have basic computer/software skills with an aptitude for enhancing those skills in the area of Clinical systems use. Must have ability to work with minimal direction on assigned projects. Takes on call support for the production of the system on a scheduled basis.

Other information:

Education/Experience: Graduation from a state approved program which prepares enrollees for a professional level clinical role (i.e. nursing, medical technology, rehabilitative therapy, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, clinical dietetics, etc.). Requires current state licensure/registration in the respective field if it is a requirement of that field. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. If candidate does not have a bachelor’s degree, then 3 years or more of healthcare/clinical experience will be considered in lieu of the degree. Minimum 2 years of healthcare experience required.

Certification: Epic certification is preferred, If not pre-certified, then certification required 6 months post hire date. All certification and licenses required for this job must be kept current as a condition of continued employment.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Knowledgeable about current trends/practices in healthcare. Basic knowledge of healthcare regulatory guidelines (Joint Commission, State Health department, etc). Must have basic computer/software skills with an aptitude for enhancing those skills in the area of Clinical systems use. Must have ability to work with minimal direction on assigned projects.

This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
